Morgan Meyer
Associate

Morgan Meyer is a commercial litigator who represents clients in complex disputes across federal and state courts. Her experience spans all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Before joining Massey & Gail, Morgan was a litigation associate at Alston & Bird in New York, where she worked on a range of civil and white-collar matters.

Morgan earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was an editor of the Review of Law and Social Change. While at NYU, she completed externships with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project and the Legal Aid Society’s Queens Housing Justice Unit.

  • Managed substantive workstreams for plaintiffs in a multibillion-dollar class action in the Circuit Court of Cook County against the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade involving breach of contract allegations; appeal pending following unfavorable jury verdict.
  • Principal drafter of a white paper and reverse proffer presentation for an international carrier in a government investigation by the New Jersey Office of Attorney General involving alleged cargo handling violations; secured a declination.
  • Managed discovery and substantive case work for private equity defendants in a multi-million-dollar civil RICO action in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey involving diabetes test strip distribution; ongoing.
  • Assisted trial team with witness preparation, pretrial submissions, and trial strategy in a Delaware Court of Chancery breach of contract dispute arising from a real estate investment in the Bahamas; secured dismissal of all claims and a favorable buyout for clients on the eve of trial.
  • Manage substantive workstreams for the National Association of Realtors in nationwide antitrust class actions in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California involving NAR cooperation and commission policies; ongoing.
