Laura is a complex commercial litigator whose practice encompasses all phases of litigation, including trials and appeals. Before joining Massey & Gail, Laura was a litigation associate at Latham & Watkins, where she focused on multi-district litigation and white-collar investigations. Laura’s pro bono practice includes the representation of federal habeas petitioners, individuals seeking asylum in immigration courts, and individuals alleging Section 1983 civil rights violations.

Laura graduated from Duke University School of Law, where she was a notes editor of the Duke Law Journal. During law school, Laura was a student advocate in the Children’s Law Clinic, where she represented grade-school children and their parents in securing special education services in their school districts. She also interned as a law clerk to the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, Environmental Bureau in Chicago, Illinois.
