Peter has over seventeen years of experience as a business litigator. He has represented individuals and businesses in disputes relating to breach of contract and warranty, restrictive covenants, shareholder oppression, breach of fiduciary duty, lender liability, fraud and misrepresentation claims, complex trust and estate disputes, municipal law, and real estate litigation.

Peter has successfully briefed and argued appeals at both the state and federal levels and has prevailed at trial for both plaintiffs and defendants.

Peter graduated from the University of Virginia where he was an Articles Editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law. After law school, Peter practiced at Kirkland & Ellis and Reed Smith. He is a founder of Arcturus Law Firm.

  • On appeal, secured reversal of trial court’s denial of a motion to vacate a judgment that had been obtained via collusion as part of a scheme by a fiduciary to misappropriate funds from a protected person.
  • Successfully represented a minority member in an LLC in obtaining a buyout and damages after the member was wrongfully frozen-out of the organization.
  • Obtained complete defense verdict at trial where plaintiff had alleged breach of an oral contract. Peter also successfully briefed the appeal upholding the trial verdict.
  • Secured favorable settlement after discovery as lead counsel on breach of warranty case for food testing client.
  • Represented major technology company in licensing dispute and other intellectual property matters.
  • Represented major bank in parallel multimillion-dollar lending arbitrations, resulting in favorable settlement.
  • Successfully briefed and argued Second Circuit appeal affirming dismissal of airline shareholder’s securities fraud complaint.
  • Secured political asylum for Ethiopian torture victim, although victim had no documentary evidence.
  • Represented major commercial lender in various commercial lending and real estate disputes.
  • Represented manufacturer in “bet the company” contract arbitration as member of 4-attorney team resulting in favorable arbitration decision.
  • Spearheaded overseas document collection efforts at corporate headquarters of major energy company in response to government and civil requests in wake of major environmental disaster.
  • Represented major airline as intervenor in for multimillion dollar duty of fair representation dispute between labor union and some of the union’s members.
